Woburn, MA. – May 6, 2008 – With TIGHE Trucking’s recent membership in the SmartWay Transport Partnership, TIGHE has joined more than 500 shippers, carriers, and logistics companies across North America that actively target reduced fuel consumption, greenhouse gases, and other air emissions. The Smartway Partnership program was created by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
“Our Partnership commitment to this program demonstrates to customers, associates and community that TIGHE is taking an active role in the effort to reduce emissions and help protect the environment. We have an obligation to do our part to preserve the environment and help repair it from years of abuse” said John Tighe, Executive Vice President of TIGHE.
Membership and designation as a “Partner” is not guaranteed, each Partner must commit to establish goals and meet certain criteria year after year.
